Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I consider tutoring my child?

Our kits help you: >Build your child's confidence in a familiar, comfortable environment. >Create meaningful one-on-one learning moments. >Practice literacy skills consistently throughout the week—not just during a one-hour session. >Learn simple, research-based teaching strategies that you can use long after the activities are finished. >Save money while becoming an active part of your child's learning journey.

Do I need to purchase the initial bundle first?

Yes. The initial bundle has the assessment materials. Without the assessment, we cannot tailor the materials to your child’s needs.

Will you expand to other programs in the future?

At this time, we are working to perfect our English Literacy tutoring materials, but we plan to bring other programs into the Parent Teaching Toolbox family in the future. We are considering basic mathematics and French next.

What is the expected time commitment to this program?

We recommend short 20-30 minute sessions 5 times a week to get the best results. This will keep sessions more entertaining for your child and give them the best window to absorb what they’ve just learned.

How is this more cost effective than traditional tutoring?

A traditional experienced tutor can charge upwards of 40$ an hour on a weekly basis. With our model, we train you to be the tutor so you get to spend more time with your child for only 100$ a month with materials curated by 2 separate professional.

Not to mention, some of these activities are fun and easy to run, if your young learner has older siblings, they might want to participate

Who is your ideal client?

Both Amanda and Amber have worked with families who have said, “I want to help support my child, but I’m not sure how or where to start.” If this sounds like your situation, this program is for you. We will provide you everything you need to get those answers and give you the confidence to to be the supporter you want to be.
